Overview



We are looking for a caring, motivated, and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and early years education, supporting children's learning, development, and well-being in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities


Childcare & Education



Deliver high-quality early years education in line with the EYFS framework. Plan, prepare, and implement engaging activities that support children's development. Observe, assess, and record children's progress, identifying individual next steps. Support children's personal, social, and emotional development. Promote independence, curiosity, and confidence through play-based learning.

Health, Safety & Welfare



Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and stimulating at all times. Follow safeguarding procedures and promote children's welfare. Manage daily routines, including toileting, feeding, sleep times, and hygiene. Maintain accurate records (accident forms, medication logs, attendance).

Teamwork & Communication



Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive team environment. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and planning. Build strong relationships with parents/carers, providing updates on children's progress. Communicate effectively and professionally at all times.

General Duties



Uphold all nursery policies and procedures. Assist with setting up and clearing away activities. Contribute to maintaining high standards of learning environments. Support new starters and help create a welcoming atmosphere.

RequirementsEssential



Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or working towards it). Knowledge of EYFS statutory framework. Experience working with children aged 0-5. Good communication and teamwork skills. A caring, patient, and positive attitude. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable



Paediatric First Aid certificate. Additional training in safeguarding, SEN, or behaviour management. Experience in planning/observing children's development.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year

Level 2/3 in Childcare & Education (preferred)
