Summary of the Early Years Practitioner Apprentice Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be committed to supporting children's development in a fun, nurturing and inclusive environment.

If you have the energy, passion and flare to work within a busy and vibrant early years' setting, working with children from birth to 5 years, this is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, vibrant and growing team.

During the first 3 month of your probationary period, you will be required to work between our sites in Wallsend and Walkergate.

What will you be doing:

Maintaining accurate records of children's development and sharing progress with parents and carers. Building strong, positive relationships with families to enhance children's care and learning experiences. Supporting room routines, activities and daily planning as directed by the Room Lead. Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment that considers all children's cultural, medical and developmental needs. Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of every child at all times. Adhering to all nursery policies, procedures and legislative requirements. Promoting positive behaviour and act as a role model for healthy, respectful and inclusive values. Contribute to regular cleaning, hygiene and safety checks.

We are looking for someone that:

Has GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) as minimum. Has a warm, caring and nurturing personality. The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues. Has great verbal and written communication skills, especially when recording observations or reporting concerns. Works well as part of a collaborative team. Is willing to work towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
