Exciting opportunity for a Level 3 qualified practitioner, to join an established after school club Team, in our two Schools in Enfield. To manage the day to day smooth running of the club. As a childcare Practitioner Level 3, you will be instrumental in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children.

The position is ideal for people who cannot commit to regular working patterns but can be contacted at short notice to cover staff absences.

Walker Children's Club is a Charity, offering quality childcare for Primary School Children.

Experience in a leadership role is required . Knowledge of Ofsted requirements is desirable or a willingness to learn. Training is provided

Assist in the day to day running of the club and create a safe, caring environment.

Assist in providing full care for the children including: collection of children from school and the safe delivery to parents and/or named carers. This will include providing refreshments and accommodating special dietary requirements.

Provide creative appropriate play opportunities. Lead by example to motivate and coach less experienced staff.

Assist in day to day supervision of team of play workers and volunteers.

Attend any necessary training programmes, identified by the Co-ordinator.

Assist in maintaining equipment in a safe condition and ensure that health and safety regulations are followed.

Willingness to work with children with special educational needs or disabilities to access all areas of play. Working in an equal opportunities framework.

Ability to work calmly in a busy, sometimes stressful environment.

Ability to keep a cheerful outlook and friendly demeanour.

Good communication skills.
