We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our expanding nursery. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in nurturing and developing young children in a safe and stimulating environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will contribute to the early childhood education of children, ensuring their wellbeing and promoting their development through engaging activities.
Duties
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment that encourages children's exploration and learning.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a structured yet flexible approach.
- Support children's personal hygiene routines and encourage independence in self-care skills.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 3 or above
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire both children and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- A genuine passion for childcare with the drive to provide the best possible outcomes for children.
