We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team to cover staff breaks. This role involves managing the daily activities in the playrooms when covering staff breaks and working with children 0-5 years. You will also be required to prepare food and supervise lunches in the playrooms.
This role will involve working between the hours of 10.00am and 3.00pm Monday-Friday. We can offer flexibility within these working hours and also offer overtime if required.
Job Type- Part Time, Permanent.
Expected Hours- 20-25 hours per week.
Duties
Manage daily routines and activities in the nursery, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
Implement educational programmes that cater to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote positive relationships and support children's learning.
Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive atmosphere that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Maintain accurate records of children's development and any incidents that may occur within the nursery setting.
Drive initiatives that promote health, safety, and wellbeing within the nursery environment and follow our policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential.
Experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
Up to date infection control and food hygiene/handling training desirable. However, training is available if required.
You will be required to have or become a member of the SSSC and PVG Scheme.
