We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed candidate to join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a level 3 or equivalent qualification in Early Years

Willingness to train for First Aid certificate if they don't have one

Previous child care experience desirable but not essential

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To work as part of a team, showing initiative and creativity. To assist in the day to day running of a room and provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors that reflects the individual needs of the child. To take responsibility for general errands and household duties.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Children in your direct care

Responsible to. Manager

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

To provide a range of stimulating activities for all the children by using appropriate equipment, which will encourage them to actively participate, and which promotes individual development needs.
To ensure that the children's environment is safe and hygienic and report any areas of concern to room supervisor or management.
To be responsible for the safety and well being of the children in your care.
To take an active part (with other members of the team) in the planning and execution of activities.
To have knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures in the Nursery.
To be responsible for keeping up to date records of key children.
To ensure safety of equipment and resources.
To ensure that all cleaning products and medication are stored safely and securely.
To be familiar with emergency procedures, e.g. Fire Drills and accident plans.
To attend staff meetings as required.
To attend In-service and any other relevant training courses, e.g. first aid.To pass on any relevant information to the appropriate person.
To be professional at all times, showing respect for colleagues by being punctual and informing staff of whereabouts if absent from the room.

Hours: 9am-3pm Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)
Salary: 25000 per annum pro rata
