Job Description

Little Treasures nursery Warrington, is looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic playworker/ practitioner to work in our out of school club.

The hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am until 9.15am and 2.45pm until 6pm during term time and additional hours during school holidays in our holiday club.

The hourly rate for a level 3 qualified practitioner is 10.40 per hour for 18-21 year olds, and 12.61 per hour for candidates age 21 years+

The hourly rate for level 2 qualified practitioners or candidates with child care experience meets the national minimum wage.

The ideal candidate will:

Knowledge of the Early years foundation stage:

Be a team player and willing to support other colleagues if they need it.

Enjoy being with primary school aged children and seeking their views about what activities they would like to take part in:

Have knowledge of the play work principles:

Assisting the children to prepare their food:

Help to share information and build strong working relationships with the local primary school:

Holds a current paediatric first aid certificate:

Has knowledge of safeguarding children and the action they should take if they have any concerns about any child in their care.

Be willing to take additional professional development training:

Be self motivated:

Follow the policies and procedures of the setting:

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and support to children in our breakfast, after school and holiday provision, ensuring their safety and well-being. Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including maintaining Paediatric First Aid Certification. Collaborate with team members to foster a positive and nurturing environment for children.
