Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Room Leader to join our 2-3 year old room for a January 2026 start & also a maternity cover Room Leader for our baby room team for a March 2026 start. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare and possess strong leadership skills to oversee daily operations in the nursery room.
Duties:
- Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver high quality care and education
- Create and implement engaging activities and educational programs
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play
- Lead by example and demonstrate excellent childcare practices
Skills:
- Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working with children ages 0-5 years in a childcare setting as a Room Leader (desired)
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and support a team
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Drive and enthusiasm for early childhood education
- Proficiency in English language
- We will also require the baby room lead to have had suitable experience working with under two's
