The Role

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and enthusiastic Early Years SEN Practitioner to join our dedicated team. This role is focused on providing enhanced ratio support to children with additional needs, ensuring they can fully access and engage with the Early Years curriculum.

As an SEN Practitioner, you will:

Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support for children with special educational needs. Deliver engaging, child-centred activities in line with individual learning plans and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Work closely with the SENCo, colleagues, and external professionals to implement strategies that support children's development. Contribute to the creation and review of Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycles and maintain accurate developmental records. Promote inclusion within the setting, adapting activities and the environment to meet individual needs. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and carers, offering regular feedback and support. Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are always upheld.
We are looking for someone who is:

Level 2 (or above) qualified in Childcare/Early Years. Experienced in supporting children with additional needs in an early years setting. Knowledgeable about the EYFS, SEN strategies, and inclusive practice. Patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping every child achieve their potential. Skilled at working collaboratively with families and professionals. Organised, observant, and committed to ongoing professional development.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
