Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years SENCO to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves engaging with children, supporting their development, and collaborating with parents to ensure the best outcomes for each child.

Duties

Create and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development. Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Manage inventory control for educational materials and food supplies. Provide exceptional customer service to parents and guardians. Train and supervise staff to ensure high-quality educational practices. Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and communicate findings with parents. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations. Collaborate with team members in planning events, activities, and outings.

Requirements

Previous experience in early childhood education or related fields is preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Experience in food service management or culinary experience is an asset. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and inventory control systems. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff. Experience in training & development of staff members is desirable. Background in hospitality management or restaurant management is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative. A passion for nurturing young minds and supporting their growth through play-based learning.
