We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Practitioner to work within our under 3's department to over-see the smooth day to day running of the 2 rooms.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will have the skills and knowledge to be able to organise the daily routines for our under 3's and ensure staff are deployed effectively, ensuring that supervision and interactions are maintained and that staff are meeting individual children's needs whilst maintaining a positive, harmonious, caring, happy environment.
The post holder will spend time with children, covering other staff's time off in the 2 rooms, monitoring and supporting practice and engaging with families to ensure that parents and carers are offered reassurance through open communication about children's well-being and development in nursery.
You would be expected to oversee planning and implementation of activities and routines. Your role would also be to support staff to ensure that they remain engaged and motivated to maintain high standards of care.
This role involves ensuring that policies and procedures are followed to ensure standards of health and safety and hygiene are met.
Experience
A valid full and relevant level 3 early years qualification with a minimum of 2 years experience in a day nursery setting.
Proven expertise in under 3's care, demonstrating a compassionate approach to providing reassurance for our youngest children and their families.
Strong knowledge of EYFS, enabling effective assessment and implementation of activities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with children, families and colleagues.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership capabilities when required.
