Level 5 Early Years Senior Practitioner

Apprenticeship - Deputy Manage for Premier Lodge Day Nursery

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 5 Childcare Apprenticeship at Premier Lodge Day Nursery.


At Premier Lodge Day Nursery in Sidcup, we provide an environment where children can experience home from home nursery, ensuring high quality care, teaching and learning. We recognise that each child is unique and we pride ourselves on our strong parent partnerships giving every child that attends Premier Lodge Day Nursery every opportunity to thrive and flourish independently and emotionally.


Premier Lodge Day Nursery have 6 rooms and provide care for children from 3 months to 5 years. Some of the activities they provide are: Library, Soft Play and Sensory area, dining area, professional chef, sport sessions, singing, French lessons, Forest school.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

Delivering high standards of learning, development, and care

for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.

Developing partnerships with parents/carers

to increase involvement in their child's development.

Implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum

to enable individual progress.

Managing the nursery's policies and procedures

, including child protection and incident response.

Collaborating with parents/carers

to share information about children's progress and encourage involvement.

Planning and leading activities

that align with early learning outcomes.

Maintaining clear and accurate records

and using digital systems for planning, observation, and communication.

Working knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted statutory guidance

to ensure compliance with educational standards.

Empathy and understanding of children under five

to support their emotional, physical, and educational needs.

Excellent verbal and communication skills

with children and parents to facilitate effective interactions.

Requirements;

A Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential You must be able to gain a clear DBS GCSE grades A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent is essential

Hours;

Premier Lodge Day Nursery is open from 7:15am - 6:15pm Monday to Friday (All year) The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week (Option for 4 longer days instead of 5)
