The Role:

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you'll be working closely with children in the

EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)

--particularly those with additional needs--to support their development and wellbeing in a nurturing classroom environment.

Your responsibilities will include:



Providing

1:1 or small group support

to children with SEND Helping pupils reach key

early development milestones

Supporting early learning in

literacy, numeracy, communication, and play

Encouraging

positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional regulation

Working collaboratively with teachers and the SEND team to deliver tailored learning Building strong, caring relationships with children to support confidence and wellbeing

Who We're Looking For:

We're open to a wide range of backgrounds. You might be:

Experienced in Early Years settings or SEND support A qualified Teaching Assistant, Early Years Practitioner, or childcare professional (not essential) Patient, kind, and confident supporting emotional and sensory needs A team player who communicates clearly and works with initiative Passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and feel safe

This inclusive, child-centred school in

Leeds

supports children in the early stages of education, including those with Autism and communication needs. The team is experienced, supportive, and deeply committed to nurturing every child's potential.

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Contract:

Long-term, flexible hours available (part-time or full-time)

Pay:

90.00-105.00 per day

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
