We're looking for a hands-on, experienced

Earthworks Estimator

to join our dynamic

Pre Construction Team

. Based at our head office in

Maxim, Eurocentral

, you'll apply your deep understanding of earthworks and soil behaviour to price and develop strategies for major civil engineering projects across the UK.

What you'll be doing



Key Responsibilities



This is a unique opportunity to bring your boots-on-the-ground experience into a strategic environment.



You'll be at the heart of bidding and tendering for complex infrastructure projects -- analysing, measuring, and pricing earthworks while influencing programme strategies and construction methodologies.


Take full ownership of earthworks estimating for civil engineering tenders (1m+) Develop and implement tender strategies for soil and earthworks elements Evaluate site-specific conditions - from contaminated soils to waste management and peat planning Engage with specialist subcontractors and optimise value through our extensive supply chain Support operational teams with expert advice on delivery, materials sourcing, and environmental risks Mentor junior staff and deliver internal earthworks knowledge-sharing sessions


Who we're looking for



Practical on-site earthworks experience, ideally in civil engineering or major infrastructure Strong grasp of pricing and tendering with familiarity in estimating tools (e.g., CANDY) Excellent understanding of earthworks materials, plant, disposal, and logistics Experience managing environmental and planning constraints Valid CSCS card Membership of a relevant professional body and/or relevant professional

qualification is desirable, such as RICS/CIOB/RIBA/ICE/CIBSE
