We are currently recruiting for an Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation (EC&I) Technician for our Waste Treatment Plant in Milton Keynes. This role will take on the responsibility of all control systems of the site, provide technical support to the operational team by resolving EC&I related challenges and manage the completion of PPMs and Annual compliance of instrument.
Role Responsibilities
Electrical duty holder for the site
Play an active role in plant safety schemes such as Near Misses or Incident Investigations, provide support where required and implement any recommendations arising from such schemes
Ensure E, C&I assets are compliant with appropriate Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental standards, policies and procedures
Assist in delivering the Operations & Maintenance Teams KPI's
Implementation and testing of software modules and systems
Conduct fault finding and investigations using Siemens PCS7 or equivalent
Develop and implement engineering procedures, instructions, method statements and guidance documents
Implementation, maintaining and testing of SCADA systems
Take ownership of the Safety Instrumented System including maintenance and proof testing
To assist with scheduled and unscheduled outage activities as required, to ensure all aspects of C&I work are completed to program, in a safe and efficient manner
Lead on RCA's in relation to EC&I issues
Complete accurate maintenance reporting within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Assist in identifying the failure modes for all apparatus
Shifts
Monday - Friday
Weekly shift rotation: 6am - 2pm / 8am - 4pm / 12pm - 10pm

Skills and Experience
Experience of electrical installation systems related to Domestic and Industrial premises
Practical and proven understanding of Health & Safety associated with electrical engineering through construction, operation, inspection and maintenance
Provided technically sound design solutions including all associated reporting and cost estimating
Provided technical leadership and mentoring to Electrical Maintenance Team members within the sphere of their core technical competence
Be able to absorb information on scope, collate information, and make judgment on the condition of existing equipment and installations
Computer literate and able to operate Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Power Point and MS
Qualifications
Certificate in Safety Instrumented Systems
Recognised EC&I Apprenticeship Scheme
ONC/HNC in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or equivalent
