The Role
We are on the search for a new EC&I Technician to joinour growing team in Spalding! You will be responsible for supporting thedelivery of our priorities and provide crucial EC&I support to optimise plantavailability. Youll play an important role in ensuring Spalding remains reliableand flexible while still achieving high standards of safety, quality, andenvironmental performance.

Role Summary
Maintenance & Reliability:
Supportplant availability through safe and effective maintenance activities. ProvideECI expertise to engineers and discipline leads. Use the Maintenance ManagementSystem (MMS) to manage tasks, spares, and history records. Ensure all work isplanned, prioritised, and completed in a timely manner.
Technical Support & Team Collaboration:
Deputisefor the ECI Lead and support delivery of operational priorities. Supervisecontract workforce and provide hands-on technical support. Contribute to staffappraisals, training delivery, and development. Promote a culture ofmulti-skilling and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensureadherence to company procedures, ISIs, SSIs, and modification protocols. Reviewand update procedures and technical drawings as required. Produce accurateWOCs/RAMs and ensure proper sign-off for safety documentation. Maintain qualitystandards in all supervised or direct work.
Outage & Equipment Management:
Planand supervise contract support during outages. Maintain critical equipment,including Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS). Ensure core trainingin Electrical and C&I systems is completed.
Operational & Strategic Support:
Attenddaily operational meetings and support production priorities. Assist in loss ofload investigations and deliver corrective actions. Support budget control andprocurement to ensure value for money. Participate in projects and initiativesdelegated by the ECI Lead.
Flexibility and Availability:
Be oncall and adapt working patterns to meet business needs. Fulfil roles andresponsibilities as defined in company safety rules and procedures. Activelyengage in HSSE initiatives.

Why you?
As our new EC&I Technician, youre technically minded,and solutions driven with a background in power generation or other heavyindustry/technical production environments. You have a strong understanding ofoperational and maintenance practices within a CCGT power plant and gas/steamturbines like technical drawings, computer aided MMS and instrumentation andvibration monitoring. You are confident working with control systems (DCS,SCADA and PLCs) like infi90, T3000, GE MKVIe and Siemens S7. Youll bring knowledge of medium voltageswitchgear and high voltage generators/monitors and transformers. Your flexiblepersonality, critical thinking and strong initiative help you make informeddecisions and give you the confidence to have technical discussions thatsupport plant safety and reliability.

Education/Experience
HNC/HND in a relevant field preferred but we are open tocandidates with the right practical experience and attitude.
PLC/software programming skills would be an advantagebut not essential as training for the right candidate can be provided.
