We are entering a period of growth, with new provisions starting in September, and are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team in a blended role combining
planning, delivery, and operational support.
Role Overview
The
EcoCoach Educator (Planning & Delivery)
will have two core responsibilities:
Delivering high-quality PE sessions
at Hawthorn Primary School each afternoon, following EcoCoach lesson plans and upholding our child-first, inclusive philosophy.
Supporting planning and curriculum preparation
for other EcoCoach schools in the mornings, ensuring all coaches receive clear, consistent, and high-quality session plans.
The role also includes opportunities to support
holiday camp preparation, QA processes, and operational admin tasks
, working closely with the Head of Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Curriculum Support (10 hours per week)
Create weekly PE lesson plans for EcoCoach schools using provided templates.
Adapt lesson plans for different year groups and ensure inclusivity, aligning with Play Their Way principles.
Prepare resources and upload plans to Google Drive for coaches to access.
Support with resource organisation and curriculum development tasks as required.
PE Delivery at Hawthorn Primary School (19.5 hours per week)
Deliver inclusive, engaging PE sessions in line with EcoCoach schemes of work.
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Uphold high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management, and health & safety.
Represent EcoCoach professionally on site at all times.
Operational Support
Assist with preparation for holiday camps (e.g. registers, equipment checks).
Support quality assurance by feeding back on lesson plans and delivery where needed.
Be available to provide occasional cover for other schools if required (subject to availability).
Person Specification
Essential
Experience working with children (e.g. coaching, PE support, teaching assistant role).
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Confident using Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
Reliable, adaptable, and positive attitude to teamwork.
Commitment to inclusive, child-first coaching.
PE/sports coaching qualifications (e.g. Level 2 in Coaching or equivalent).
Desirable
Experience delivering PE or physical activity sessions in schools.
Knowledge of Play Their Way or child-led coaching approaches.
Confidence to adapt activities for SEND pupils.
