24,785 per annum (pro rata for part time) + benefits

Part time 22.5 hours per week (3 days per week, ideally Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday but there is some flexibility around this)


Location:

On-site at our Grantham National Distribution Centre (The Mushroom Farm, Barkston Heath, Grantham, NG32 2DE).

We're looking for an

Ecommerce Assistant

to join Cancer Research UK's Online Marketplace team at the Grantham National Distribution Centre. Our Online Marketplace Team sort, identify, value, photograph, and list items for sale on our online marketplace platforms (e.g., eBay , Depop , Vestiaire, and ASOS ).



You'll be trained on all parts of the process; however, this role will have a strong focus on being part of the Dispatch and Customer Service team who dispatch c.600-1000 UK orders and handle c.200 customer queries per week. This means your role will predominantly focus on preparing customer orders for dispatch which includes, picking, packing, and sorting stock; while also handling customer queries, refunds, cancellations, and relisting returned items for sale online.

Important notice

: The National Distribution Centre is five miles outside of Grantham and there are no public transport services. Due to the remote location, you would be required to have or arrange your own transportation to and from the site.



What will I be doing?



Preparing customer orders for dispatch (this includes standing up and moving around the Depot while lifting and moving stock of different weights and sizes).


Picking, packing, and sorting sold items within the Dispatch department.


Supporting with and handling Customer Service queries, refunds, and cancellations.


Working to agreed daily Dispatch and Customer Service targets.


Unpacking deliveries and sorting items into the correct categories.


Researching items to check if the value meets the requirements for sale online.


Relisting returned items on Cancer Research UK's online shop across a range of platforms (e.g. eBay, Depop, Vestiaire and ASOS) while ensuring product listings are of a consistently high standard with accurate and high-quality descriptions.


In cases will be able to support the end-to-end process of reviewing stock, photography, listing and dispatch.



What are we looking for?



Background in working in fast-paced environments that involve stock processing (e.g. retail, ecommerce, hospitality, logistics, warehousing, etc).


Experience buying or selling on online marketplaces either in a personal or professional setting (e.g., eBay, Depop, Vestiaire, ASOS etc).


Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support customer service queries


Customer service experience would be beneficial but is not essential meaning we welcome applicants without this experience.


Experience working to meet targets/ KPIs with excellent time management.


Excellent eye for detail with a proven ability to work effectively under pressure whilst maintaining high standards.


Proficient IT and administrative skills (including Microsoft Packages and data entry in Excel).
