Ecommerce Trading Manager
to take the reins of
waltons.co.uk
and drive our next phase of online growth.
About the Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you'll be the mastermind behind our ecommerce performance. You'll be hands-on, strategic, and ready to create exceptional digital experiences that convert browsers into loyal customers. You'll coordinate trading calendars, unlock new revenue streams, and bring bold ideas to life -- with the full support of a passionate, cross-functional team.
What You'll Be Doing
Own and execute the ecommerce strategy to drive revenue, customer acquisition, and retention.
Manage the daily trading operations of waltons.co.uk, optimising for seamless user experience and high conversion.
Develop and lead the promotional trading calendar across key seasons and launches.
Oversee PPC campaigns and SEO strategies, working closely with agencies to maximise ROI.
Lead content creation and social media engagement to boost brand visibility and traffic.
Partner with Supply Chain, Marketing, Customer Services, and Design teams to ensure alignment and exceptional execution.
Analyse website and customer data to inform decisions, spot trends, and seize new opportunities.
Project manage new functionality developments and A/B testing initiatives.
Stay ahead of ecommerce trends, new technologies, and consumer behaviour shifts.
What We're Looking For
A proven ecommerce expert with experience managing a D2C (direct-to-consumer) trading platform.
Strong technical acumen with CMS platform Shopify, and marketing tools like Klaviyo.
Analytical mindset -- comfortable working with performance metrics and web analytics.
Commercially driven -- you love seeing your ideas translate into measurable growth.
Collaborative but independent -- you thrive both on your own and within cross-functional teams.
Passionate about creating best-in-class digital experiences.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Your Toolkit
Microsoft Excel wizardry.
Web Analytics (Google Analytics or similar).
CMS Management (Shopify, Magento).
SEO & PPC fluency.
Agency and project management experience.
