We are seeking a commercially driven

Ecommerce Manager

to lead and accelerate the growth of our online channel at

Cotterills

, one of the UK's leading civils and drainage merchants. This is a great opportunity for a high-impact individual to shape and deliver our digital strategy as part of a dynamic, fast-growing company based in the beautiful countryside of Sutton Coldfield. Key Responsibilities



Develop and execute the overall ecommerce strategy to drive revenue, customer acquisition and online market share. Take responsibility for the management, performance, and continual improvement of our ecommerce platform. Oversee content across the website, ensuring accuracy, engagement, and alignment with brand and commercial goals. Manage relationships with third-party agencies and tools (e.g. website developers, CRO tools, analytics platforms) to deliver against performance targets. Develop and implement a pricing and promotions strategy using competitor and market data to ensure competitiveness and profitability. Work cross-functionally with sales to align online efforts with broader business goals. Monitor and optimise digital marketing performance (PPC, email, SEO), improving return on investment and campaign effectiveness. Produce monthly reporting and insights on ecommerce KPIs, highlighting trends, issues, and opportunities. Champion a data-led approach to ecommerce decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience



At least 3-5 years of experience in an ecommerce, digital marketing, or online trading role with measurable success. Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of delivering ecommerce growth. Proficient in ecommerce platforms (ideally Shopify), Google Analytics (GA4), SEO/PPC principles, and CRO tools. Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to optimise digital performance. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. A confident communicator who can engage stakeholders at all levels and influence decision-making. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience managing third-party vendors or agencies. Hands-on experience with email platforms such as Klaviyo or Mailchimp. Design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) and confident copywriting abilities. Experience with automation tools and personalised marketing campaigns. Knowledge of Shopify or other ecommece platforms.

Qualifications



Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or CIM qualification preferred. UK driving licence required.
