Overview

We are looking for Photography volunteers to join our team at Oxfam Darlington Charity Shop!

Oxfam's Online Shop sells quality donated fashion, accessories, books and music to a world-wide audience. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are interested in photography and are available for at least one 4 hour shift a week.?
You will photograph the donated items in our fully-equipped studio in the Oxfam Darlington shop. It is a great opportunity to join an expanding online business, develop camera and lighting techniques, as well a chance to expand basic computer skills with our photo-editing software.?

If interested, you can also do photoshoots for our Social Media pages.
You'll have training where necessary with the equipment and editing software to create accurate and attractive photographs which are essential for selling online.?

The ideal candidate will have:
- An interest in photography;
- Basic IT skills and competency, or a willingness to learn;
- An eye for detail;
- Basic photography skills, or willingness to learn;
- The ability to work independently, but with guidance and support;
- A desire to learn or develop new skills in the field of online retail.

We can offer our volunteers an insight into the processes involved within e-commerce, and transferable job skills. We can also offer the opportunity to develop photography and computer skills, and you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to Oxfam's mission to achieve a just world without poverty. We can provide references for our team, and we can provide travel costs in accordance with our expenses policy.
