ABOUT THE ROLE




As eCommerce Specialist & Content Copywriter Producer you will be responsible for delivering accurate and purposeful copy across several mediums, enthusing our customers and aiding them in their purchasing decisions with us.


You will liaise with several teams and stakeholders to plan and create strategies to ensure we offer the highest quality eCommerce environment available in our marketplace.


Managing tasks and your workload using our online project management tools provided by the Microsoft Office 365 suite is fundamental, as is the ability to manage multiple projects at once, take ownership of your work and deliver results that surpass the initial brief.

WHAT YOU WILL DO



Craft clear, technically detailed, and SEO-optimised product descriptions for a wide range of outdoor gear and apparel, aligning with Trekitt's tone of voice and expert-led customer approach. Write engaging and informative blog posts that offer gear advice, Trekitt staff tips, and relevant insights for our target audience, from idea generation to final draft (subject to eCommerce Manager sign-off). Use technical product knowledge and supplier materials (including workbooks and occasional hands on use) to translate complex information into clear, user-friendly content. Create and maintain branded landing pages and update online content areas with accurate copy, using in-house tools and systems. Ensure all product listings are up to date and live with complete descriptions, technical specifications, and appropriate visual assets, using Trekitt's internal CMS. Collaborate with the Marketing team to support seasonal campaigns and promotional initiatives through well-crafted, on-brand copy for digital channels. Assist in writing buyer's guides and other resource content to help customers make informed purchase decisions on key categories. Maintain consistency of voice and accuracy across all written content, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and tone. Participate in campaign development by shaping and producing written elements across multichannel marketing efforts. Collaborate in the review of content performance, using analytics tools and team input to improve copy effectiveness and on-page engagement. Stay up to date with Trekitt's gear range and industry trends through ongoing product research and occasional supplier meetings.

Proven experience, supported by a portfolio. Live the Outdoors - A passion for the outdoors and a fundamental understanding of the brands and the needs of outdoor users (including climbers, mountaineers, backpackers, trekkers, skiers and adventure travellers). Understanding of Digital Marketing - Understands digital marketing and search engine optimisation (SEO). Self-Motivated - The ability to work independently and prioritise work effectively. Knowledge Seeker - Good research and analytical skills to gain an accurate understanding of the subject in question. Team Player - Strong interpersonal skills as you'll be working with a range of Stakeholders and members of other teams within the company. Innovative - Has a creative approach, both in coming up with ideas for new projects and getting a message across. Competent with Technology - A sound grasp of ICT skills, including using Microsoft Office, WordPress and CMS.
