We are looking for local talented actors to join our Edinburgh coven on our popular Witches Old Town Walking Tour that finishes in an Underground Vault...

The tour currently runs every day at 1:30pm and 3:30pm and we are currently looking at adding an extra evening slot with alternate route as the season gets busier. Guides are allocated at least one tour day a week.

This is a fully scripted tour and rehearsals will start asap for the right actors. The tour takes place in and around Edinburgh's Old Town and focuses on the true tales of Scottish witches across the ages, with a some interesting Edinburgh history pointed out along the route too.

This is a one-person show; all eyes are on you. We're looking for strong actors who are very confident with a lovely high engaging energy - someone who will embody the character of our light-hearted, quirky, knowledgeable witch. The role is written as a friendly whimsical witch, not in any way a "wicked" one.

Some important information:

The first round of auditions is a self-tape submission. The second, an online meeting (asap). Rehearsals will be plotted over a 3-4 week period with a view to launching at the beginning of August.
We're looking for someone with:

Very strong outside projection (with the help of a radio mic where necessary). Engaging storytelling abilities. An interest in and understanding of history. A confident people manager. Someone comfortable working alone - and outside, whatever the weather!
A Scottish accent would be ideal, but others will be considered. Terms and hours are flexible.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: 30.00-90.00 per day

Expected hours: 4 - 16 per week
