We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Diary Production Editorto ensure that all Editorial Department goals and deadlines are achieved, on time and with zero defects in our finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
Proofreading diaries and information sections
Copy preparation for updating diaries
Research and file updating
Checking blueprints from our external manufacturers
Carrying out Imposition Quality Checks as and when required (specific training provided)* Coordinating with outside sources, e.g. freelance readers, co-publishers and internal and external customers as required
Monitoring news and current affairs to ensure future products contain up-to-date and relevant information
Ensuring editorial deadlines are met
Skills & Experience Required:
Editorial experience, especially proofreading and accurate research techniques
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to evaluate specifications and instructions
Ability to work independently within set parameters
Ability to adapt quickly and with varying work and time sensitive demands
Excellent prioritisation and organisational ability
Enjoy working in a small team environment
Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
Experience with using industry standard proofreading marks (desirable)
Modern languages, especially French, German and Italian (desirable)
