Job Description

Join Barclays as an Agile Lead for our Enterprise Data Platform Product Office, where you'll play a key role in helping drive Agile adoption across the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). The successful candidate will begin by support teams in strengthening their Agile foundations--such as effective use of JIRA and running efficient scrums--while planning and facilitating key events like quarterly planning. You will then drive EDP's activities as part of Barclays' wider Scaled Agile adoption. The Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) Team is building a new, firm-wide data platform using cutting-edge technologies including AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and more. The EDP Product Office is responsible for defining the platform and product roadmap, leading Agile adoption across EDP, and overseeing initiatives in areas such as Risk & Control.


To be successful in this role, you should have:

Proven experience driving Agile adoption and improvement across multiple global engineering teams A track record of successfully preparing for and running large-scale Agile events (particularly PI Planning) A pragmatic approach to engaging with teams at varying levels of Agile maturity and influencing engineering leadership (D level).

Additional skills that are highly valued include:

Scaled Agile certification Experience working with platform-type products (EDP is a central, AWS-based platform used firm-wide, rather than one aligned with a specific business unit) Experience tracking and reporting Agile progress to senior management

Purpose of the role




Guides teams, leaders, and organizations in adopting and optimizing Agile practices. To foster an Agile mindset, enhance team performance, and drive continuous improvement by coaching teams in Agile methodologies, facilitating collaboration, and removing barriers to efficiency. Align Agile practices with organisational goals and support long-term, sustainable Agile transformations.

Accountabilities



Mentor and coach : Guide teams and leaders on Agile principles, practices, tools, and methodologies in alignment to the Business Unit's strategic needs and delivering value to the client / customers Facilitate Colleague Development: Coach and Develop colleagues to embed Agile ways of working, championing an Agile mindset and behaviors to drive cultural change Build High-Performing Teams: Help teams identify and address impediments to Agile execution and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning Continuous Improvement: Use data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth Cross Business Collaboration: Collaborate with other Agile Coaches, share best practice and contribute to a network of Agile champions across Business Units * Agile Adoption: Own the Agile coaching strategy to continually improve maturity levels across the organisation by embedding best practices.
