Education Access Officer - ALN EOTAS - Secondment opportunity,
Mainstream Teacher pay scale - MPR / UPR
Wrexham Local Authority is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and passionate professional to join the Inclusion service in a pivotal role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone committed to supporting children and young people in achieving their full potential.
The successful candidate will work strategically with schools, external agencies, and other teams within the council to enhance education access for children and young people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) who are currently accessing an EOTAS package. They will be responsible for ensuring high-quality learning opportunities and advocating for inclusive education pathways.
The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding educator with a passion for person-centred practice
  • Have knowledge of the ALN Code of Practice and its effective implementation
  • Have experience working directly with pupils with Additional Learning Needs, supporting their educational journey
  • Have expertise in trauma-informed practice and its application in inclusive education
  • Have experience working at a strategic level, developing curriculum frameworks
  • Collaborate effectively with schools and external agencies to create innovative learning solutions
  • Demonstrate a creative mindset and a positive approach, fostering ambitious outcomes for children and young people
