We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Assistant to support educators and students within our specialised learning environment. Responsibilities
Assist teachers in implementing personalised learning plans for children with special educational needs, including those with autism and disabilities.
Support children's developmental activities, including toddler care and behavioural support.
Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and engagement among pupils.
Supervise children during classroom activities, breaks, and outings to ensure safety and well-being.
Aid in the preparation of educational materials and resources tailored to individual learning requirements.
Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and staff to promote understanding of each child's progress and needs.
Support behavioural management strategies under the guidance of teaching staff.
Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised classroom environment conducive to learning.
Skills
Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities.
Knowledge of working with people with autism and understanding of autism-friendly teaching strategies.
Previous experience in teaching or supporting children in educational settings is desirable.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with diverse learners including toddlers.
Strong organisational skills to assist in lesson preparation and classroom management.
