About the Role
We are seeking a visionary, people-focused leader to take ownership of the growth and delivery of wraparound clubs and holiday camps across multiple sites. The EPIC Camps Manager will bring a bold and purposeful approach to shaping services that are safe, enriching, and memorable for children.
This is more than just an operational role - it's a chance to build environments where children thrive, staff feel empowered, and schools and families feel supported. You'll be the creative force behind delivering an ambitious pre-16 strategy rooted in fun, exploration, and whole-child development.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership
Manage and grow a network of wraparound clubs and school holiday camps
Create dynamic experiences that support play, exploration, confidence, and teamwork
Lead timetabling, activity calendars, and operational planning for all delivery sites
Oversee staffing, logistics, and day-to-day delivery across settings
Ensure high-quality provision that meets Ofsted, safeguarding, and H&S standards
Strategic Delivery
Work with senior leaders to shape and evolve the wraparound and enrichment offer
Play a key role in scaling operations and expanding school partnerships
Use data and feedback to inform programme design and improvement
Contribute to the development of a national model for enrichment
People and Culture
Recruit, train and develop a team of coaches, playworkers, and club leaders
Champion a positive delivery culture aligned to organisational values
Be hands-on and lead by example in sessions when needed
Build trusted relationships with families, schools, and community stakeholders
Learning and Development
Design programmes that promote whole-child development through play
Ensure activities support confidence, communication, and creativity
Promote inclusive, child-led learning that blends fun with soft skill development
Person Specification
Essential
Experience managing wraparound care, childcare provision or community learning
Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Playwork or similar (or working towards)
Safeguarding Level 2+ and Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to complete)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Passion for creative learning through play and enrichment
Ability to manage multi-site provision and coordinate diverse teams
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
Experience working in or with schools, local authorities or education settings
Knowledge of Ofsted frameworks for early years or wraparound provision
Understanding of inclusive practice, behaviour support and whole-child approaches

Experience:
managing or coordinating activities for children aged 4-12: 3 years (preferred)
in Childcare, Playwork, Youth Work, or Sport: 3 years (preferred)
acting as the main point of contact for parents and schools: 1 year (preferred)

L3 in Childcare, Playwork, Youth Work, Sport (preferred)
