Job Description

Earth Energy Education is looking for a self-employed, experienced school workshop leader to deliver workshops in schools and at solar and wind farms up to 2.5 hours away from Middlesbrough. The candidate will be a qualified teacher or experienced educator who is looking for part time consultancy work and is able to travel. They will have a strong interest in renewable energy, sustainability and biodiversity with a good knowledge of the National Curriculum. They will be able to lead inspiring and engaging sessions for a variety of ages, but primarily secondary school and +16 groups.

The workshop leader will be required to deliver workshops in schools and at solar and wind farms across the North of England on mutually agreed dates.

Required experience:

Teaching qualification with minimum 1 years experience

Essential criteria

A strong background in education Demonstrable experience working with primary and secondary students Ability to adapt educational workshops to all ages Available to travel up to 2.5 hours from Middlesbrough Access to a vehicle Superb communication skills Punctual and reliable Positive attitude Competent IT skills Ability to work online

Desirable but not essential

An interest in current environmental ideas and thoughts Knowledge of and experience working within the Higher Education sector An understanding of the secondary school STEM and Geography curriculums Resource design and presentation Awareness of child protection, health and safety and risk assessments Experience of teaching online

Licence/Certifications

Driving licence (essential) Qualified teacher status (desirable)
Please note: this is a

part-time consultancy contract

with a maximum of 30 days contact time in school/on site within term times. Planning and preparation time will be additional to this and will be paid.

Pay: 25.00-35.00 per hour
