As a Education Facilitator at G.A.T.E, you will provide lesson plans, and then deliver or delegate classroom support workers to deliver one-on-one or two-on-one support to students, promoting positive behaviours and engagement in learning. You will be part of a supportive team working to foster an environment of independence and achievement for students, tailored to meet each individual's needs

Our ideal candidate



Our ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people, particularly those with challenging behaviours and additional learning needs. A full UK driving license is ESSENTIAL for this role.

The Educational Facilitator plays a critical role in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment at Midway Transitional Solutions educational service G.A.T.E. They facilitate learning through a variety of instructional approaches, workshops, and individual/group activities. The goal is to guide students or learners through educational materials, ensuring they understand and apply the concepts taught, while encouraging independent learning and problem-solving skills. Educational Facilitator will work directly with the Education Manager and other external bodies to ensure that the educational goals of the service are met effectively. The Education Facilitator will lead a team and be expected to plan and deliver lessons to our young people.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Working on a 2:1 or 1:1 basis with students to support their educational and personal development.

Assisting students with challenging behaviour and providing guidance to help them succeed in the classroom.

Supporting students with additional learning needs, adapting to meet individual requirements.

Engaging students in educational activities, workshops, and social events.

Maintaining accurate and timely documentation and reports.

Acting as a positive role model, encouraging positive relationships and healthy interactions.

Plan and design engaging learning activities and materials that align with learning objectives and outcomes.

Deliver age appropriate sessions to keep leaners engaged in the 6 AOLE's across the new curriculum in Wales.

Embed the four purposes in to all planning and delivering of sessions.

Facilitate and moderate discussions, workshops, and collaborative projects among learners, education manager, and other participants.

Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring to enhance learners skills and performance.

Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of learning activities and materials for continuous improvement.

Communicates with the Education Lead and other external bodies to ensure the quality and consistency of the learning experience.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Encourage student participation and engagement.

Enforce classroom rules and procedures to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.

Undertaking other educational administrative tasks and general support to the Educational Manager as when required.

Requirements for the Role:



Experience of working with challenging behaviours and additional learning needs -

Experience in an educational, classroom or leadership role -

Level 4 qualification in Education and Training (equivalent to a HLTA) -

Flexibility to work varying shifts and cover sickness when required -

Confidence to manage and redirect challenging behaviour effectively -

Strong Communication Skills to liaise with external agencies and other professionals -

Commitment to promoting the educational development and wellbeing of students -

Full UK Driving License and access to your own transport -
