The Virtual School and Inclusion team are seeking a dynamic individual through a grant funding opportunity for an initial fixed term contract until the end of August 2026 to support our children in care post 16 young people in education, employment and training.
This is a 37 hour per week post. The post holder will work closely with education and social care partners and professionals, our young people and their foster carers to ensure our post 16 children in care have access to education, employment and training.
The post holder will particularly work closely with our colleges and be responsible to support the PEP process for each of these young people, ensure that any barriers to attending education settings are removed and their needs are met.
The successful candidate will act as a point of contact for our care leaving team and be able to offer advice and guidance in relation to further education, employment and training support.
The successful candidate will have support from dedicated education officers within the Virtual School.
