Job Description

Following the successful appointment of a new Headteacher in September 2023, the school is currently undergoing a restructure and as such a variety of roles have become available. Cornfield is located in the seaside town of Littlehampton and has 90 students on role, aged between 8 and 16 who have Social, Emotional or Behavioural difficulties.
Job Details
We are looking to appoint an Education Manager with experience of working with students who display challenging behaviours. The successful applicant will work alongside our friendly and supportive team of professionals who put the students at the heart of what we do.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate robustness & resilience as the role can be extremely rewarding but very demanding. It is important to be able to maintain a level of calm and have excellent communication skills with both adults and young people. It is essential to have good organisational skills, the ability to multitask, be flexible and act as a role model for students. Experience of working with disengaged students would be advantageous.
The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent people management skills and be experienced in leading a team of professionals. They should be forward thinking, show initiative and be creative in their leadership.
This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to work as part of a good school (OFSTED June 2021) that focuses on supporting SEMH students to become more independent and provide them with skills and experiences that will enable them to be successful in life.
This post would be suitable for an experienced practitioner wanting to commit to working with challenging students in a fast moving yet rewarding environment.
