About the Role
------------------
You will be the manager for the "PGT Conventional" education administration team, which also incorporates PGR student administration for the Faculty. This team comprises of the Grade 8 Education Manager, 3 Grade 7 Education Co-ordinators (who will report to you) and 11 Grade 6 Education Administrators. The team is responsible for providing administrative support in relation to ~25 PGT programmes in the Faculty, which cover a wide range of subjects relating to medical sciences including Nutrition, Cancer, Infection & Immunity and different aspects of Surgery. Additionally, the team is responsible for providing administrative support in relation to the Faculty's 400 PGR students.
You will lead a team of 14 staff, and you will provide high-level administrative and operational management to support the smooth running and effective provision of the education programmes within your remit. You will support the educational life cycle of students within the Faculty and will liaise with a broad range of key academic and professional services staff across UCL, including in the Registry and Academic Services and the UCL Doctoral School. The role will include management of matters related to the educational activities of students from enquiry to completion. You will work closely with staff to support the development and implementation of the Faculty's education strategy, relating to the designated taught and research programmes. You will provide advice and support the Programme Directors, Divisional Directors and Divisional Managers on a wide range of educational issues, including contributing to strategic plans, policies, procedural and operational matters and implementing those relating to the educational provision. You will lead on achieving a high quality and timely service to current and prospective students, and staff relating to the designated programmes.
Appointment details:
The post is graded at GRADE 8, the annual salary for which ranges from 54,172 to 62,035 (including London Allowance).
This is a full-time, fixed-term post for 12 months.
The role will be based at UCL's Bloomsbury Campus.
This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% on site.

You will be educated to a degree level or have equivalent professional experience (such as data analysis, report writing, creative problem solving, presentation skills). You will have a proven track record in management and team leadership in relation to higher education programme delivery. Ideally, you will have knowledge and experience of administrating PGT and PGR programmes. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate with colleagues at all levels as well as external stakeholders. You will be committed to providing a responsive and helpful service to students and academic staff, developing resilience strategies and supporting healthy resilience in the team.
