We aim to create outstanding opportunities for everyone to learn about nature.We value each of our team members and understand that every role is vital to deliver our mission, so, we provide great benefits* to reward and support you while you work with us.What youll be doingAs our Education Support assistant, you are an integral part of our education team and will support us to carry out a smooth delivery of our field courses and environmental activities.This will involve preparing fieldwork equipment and classrooms for learners of all abilities, ensuring areas are clean and safe for use. As well as organise lesson and health and safety resources for our learning groups.You may be required to accompany teaching staff on field trips, assist students with their fieldwork, help run environmental or problem solving games and aid teaching staff in the collection of class data.You will be flexible to our ever-changing learning environment and be happy to assist where required to ensure our centre always runs efficiently.Please refer to the vacancy pack for further details on the full responsibilities of the role.Where youll be basedThe Field Studies Council Millport centre is situated on the Isle of Cumbrae in Scotland. It has state of the art purpose-built conference facilities, twin bedroom ensuite accommodation with sea views, plus 7 teaching spaces comprising classrooms and laboratories.We host learners of all ages and backgrounds from nursery schools, primary and secondary schools, universities, adults and research placements from all over the world.Who were looking forA degree or equivalent in a relevant subject is desirable but not essential, it is more important to us that you have:
