About the Post:





We are seeking to appoint to the role of an Education Support Tutor to support our teaching team and facilitate the smooth and effective delivery of the curriculum across all school subject areas. This is a full time, term time only position.



Barnsley Education Support Service (BESS), is a borough wide service supporting children and young people temporarily unable to attend school.



The role of an Education Support Tutor is varied and diverse, it demands flexibility, initiative and the ability to build quality, productive working relationships with pupils of all school age students. The role will require you to amend preplanned learning activities and deliver to pupils unable to attend school through stimulating and creative ways, whilst out in the community. The focus being on supporting progress and the return to school by supplying and delivering a personalised provision. The delivery will be primarily 1:1 but could include some small group work across the BMBC area, to both primary and secondary school age pupils and could include all subject areas.
