Education Support Worker Job description
To provide support to young people with High Needs in a vibrant post-16 educational setting by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation, progress and preparation for adulthood.
To facilitate the delivery of quality education programmes to small groups and individuals under the direction and guidance of tutors and leaders.
To ensure that learners are kept safe at all times whilst promoting positive behaviour and attitudes.
To be responsible for ensuring that work undertaken within service area is conducted in line with statutory regulations and within Service Area.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
