Location: Bury, Lancashire

Salary: 130 per direct contact hour

Hours: 1 day per week

Our client is a highly regarded, employee-owned educational psychology service with a strong reputation for fostering meaningful partnerships with schools across the North of England. Since becoming employee-owned in 2022, their 30-strong team--including educational psychologists, trainees, assistants, advisory teachers, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, SEMH specialists, and business support staff--has thrived on a shared vision of resilience and inclusivity. They are committed to empowering every team member to shape the service's future while delivering impactful support to school communities.

The Role

We are recruiting a qualified Educational Psychologist for our client to work 1 day per week in Burnley. You will be assigned a dedicated patch of schools for the academic year (with potential for longer-term engagement), enabling you to build strong relationships with school staff and communities. Adopting a collaborative, planning-meeting approach--described as 'building a team around a school'--you will deliver support at three levels:

Level 1: Casework and Intervention - Providing 1:1 support to children and young people to meet their individual needs. Level 2: Staff Support and Training - Assessing and addressing training or supervision needs for school staff. Level 3: Systemic and Whole-School Work - Applying psychological expertise to enhance school-wide systems and processes, driving sustainable change.

You will have the freedom to tailor your approach to the needs of your schools, supported by a multidisciplinary team of specialists in occupational therapy, speech and language, and communication and interaction. Our client encourages you to practice as the psychologist you want to be, with flexibility to align with your professional strengths.

What Our Client Offers

A competitive rate of 130 per direct contact hour. A supportive, employee-owned culture where your input shapes the service. Collaboration with a diverse, skilled team of professionals. A blend of face-to-face and online working, with autonomy to shape your role. Opportunities to forge lasting relationships with schools and make a meaningful impact.
