We are seeking a talented and motivated EHS Coordinator to join our dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities:





As an EHS Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) department by ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating effective communication across the organisation. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow within the EHS field, offering hands-on experience and exposure to a wide range of safety and sustainability practices.

What you'll be doing



Coordinate and support the delivery of EHS training programs, including toolbox talks, inductions, and external training sessions. Collaborate with Department Managers to ensure timely procurement and distribution of workwear garments. Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation, manage the EHS inbox, and respond to internal and external queries. Provide operational support to the EHS department, ensuring smooth execution of daily activities and initiatives. Assist the EHS Advisor in conducting health and safety monitoring, compiling data, and addressing general safety concerns. Monitor and follow up on internal reporting systems, ensuring timely closure of actions and escalation where necessary. Compile and analyse EHS statistics for monthly reports, supporting the EHS Manager with month-end reporting tasks Manage and update training records using SPARK, ensuring all training data is current and accessible. Maintain EHS communication platforms, including the internal intranet, to ensure consistent and timely updates. Ensure compliance with relevant EHS legislation and communicate updates to appropriate departments. Organise and maintain inspection and meeting rotas (e.g., racking inspections, EHS meetings, defibrillator checks). Manage Eco Accuvio enquiries and ensure accurate environmental data reporting. Oversee the management of waste transfer notes and coordinate with waste and PPE contractors. Attend EHS Committee meetings, take minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items. Prepare service level agreements between departments to support EHS initiatives. Upload and manage training materials on SPARK and extract relevant data for reporting. Conduct and support EHS inspections, ensuring findings are documented and actions tracked. Design and distribute EHS awareness materials, such as safety week posters and occupational health campaigns. Schedule occupational health surveillance appointments and maintain related records. Update and maintain EHS forms and documentation in line with current practices. Manage the safety glasses voucher program and ensure employee access to required PPE. Promote alignment with the company's vision, mission, and values in all EHS activities.

Skills/Experience:



NEBOSH General Certificate (attained or pursuing) Good numeracy and literacy, GCSE grade 5 or above in Maths and English Attention to Detail, ensuring accuracy in inspections, reports, and documentation is crucial. Strong Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with team members, managers, and other departments. Proactive Attitude, taking initiative to identify potential hazards and suggest improvements. Organisational Skills, managing multiple tasks, maintaining records, and meeting deadlines. Willingness to Learn, being open to new information and continuously improving your knowledge and skills. Teamwork, collaborating effectively with colleagues and supporting the EHS Manager & Advisor. Basic Knowledge of EHS Principles, understanding the fundamentals of environmental, health, and safety regulations and practices. Problem-Solving Skills, identifying issues and developing practical solutions.
