EHS Manager - Sheffield - Circa \xc2\xa340,000 - \xc2\xa342,000
Chase & Holland are excited to be partnering with a leading international manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a EHS Manager to join their business.
As EHS Manager, you will support and develop an EHS Advisor and have overall responsibility for the businesses EHS strategy ensuring compliance is maintained.

Responsibilities of the EHS Manager:

• Be accountable for the effective application of the businesses EHS Model, ensuring EHS procedures and documentation are relevant and up to date,
• Provide management advice where appropriate to enable the organisation to discharge its statutory, common, and moral obligations
• Keep staff/management up to date of changes in EHS Legislation and Codes of Practice.
• Be responsible for ensuring on-site security procedures and systems are fit for purpose and developed appropriately to manage emerging risks
• Be in charge of the day to day support and development of an EHS Advisor

Hours of work: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Flexi working) with an early finish on a Friday

Essential Qualifications required:

• The National General Certificate/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety NEBOSH (e.g., National Compliance and Risk Qualifications (NCRQ)
• Member of IOSH preferably Chartered

Skills Required:

• Auditing experience in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 (desirable)
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Negotiating skills to assure managers of the need to implement and maintain safety standards that may compromise speed or efficiency in the organisation
• A flexible approach to work
• A current understanding in legislation and regulations
• A driving licence (essential for occasional travel between other UK sites)
• Ability to liaise with stakeholders
