Design and implement tailored electrical and software solutions for Syntegon packaging equipment, including legacy systems modernisation. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide engineering support to the field service team. Develop clear documentation for service interventions, upgrades, and project-related materials. Travel domestically and internationally to support installation and commissioning of modernisation projects. Integrate new control systems into existing machinery, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance. Assist the Electrical and Software engineering team with new customer projects and developments. Manage cost targets in design, purchase, and assembly whilst carrying out risk assessments on machinery. Ensure electrical aspects of machinery comply with European Community (CE), National Electric Code, Canadian Standards Association Codes, and Underwriters Laboratory requirements.

Specific Requirements

Valid passport and driving licence. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification 10+ years of extensive Electrical and Software Engineering experience, preferably in the Packaging industry Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD electrical or EPLAN, and programming using Rockwell, Beckhoff and Zenon software Working knowledge of applicable standards (CE, NFPA, CSA, UL) and safety performance levels Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team Experience in design for manufacture and assembly, cost management, and servo motion technology Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (valid passport and driving licence required)
