The role is responsible for providing electrical and/or multiskilled engineering support to the production team, including both reactive & preventative electrical and mechanical maintenance for food manufacturing equipment and machinery that produces more than 4 million Kg of product annually.
HOURS OF WORK:
Rotational Shift pattern,
Sunday to Thursday 10pm-6am (nightshift)
Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm (dayshift)
Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm (backshift)
SALARY:
Depending on experience 40K +

Engineering Coordinator/Operations Manager, working closely with production and other teams onsite.
THE PERSON:
QUALIFICATIONS - one or more
Ideally, 18th Edition qualified
Time served
Qualified Multi-Skilled Engineer (Level 3 or equivalent)
HNC level in electrical engineering
BTECH/ONC qualification as a minimum in either Electrical C&G 2330 Level 3
Electro - technical certificate combined with NVQ 3 Electrical Maintenance
Modern Engineering Apprenticeship SVQ

EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in a similar role within a Food or FMCG Manufacturer, however may consider other experience as long as it is within a manufacturing environment.
You must be able to be capable of installation, maintenance, test and repair of the equipment. Proactive problem solver with a can-do attitude who is keen to learn & be part of a successful team

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keep the plant and machinery running for production needs.
Repair machinery breakdowns quickly and efficiently to keep production running.
Plan and carry out an ongoing preventative maintenance programme targeted to reduce machine downtimes and maximise machine availability and efficiency.
Carry out machinery installations as and when required.
Liaise with the Operations Manager, engineering colleagues and production teams to ensure work priorities and production needs are met.
Comply with shift handover procedure.
Ensure planned and preventative maintenance documentation is available, updated, and current for all production and support equipment.
Support factory operatives in performing machine changes and settings including preparation of change parts ready for minimum downtime.
Ensure stock and spares control including development and updating of critical spares listing for all equipment and production lines.
Ensure all H & S responsibilities are adhered to.
Keep abreast of Food Safety, Health and safety, COSHH and trading legislation and work with the rest of the management team to comply when appropriate.
