Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to join our team. Working under the guidance of a licensed electrician, this role offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience while progressing through an approved apprenticeship program. The successful candidate will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial environments, laying the foundation for a successful career in the electrical trade

Duties

Assist electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of wiring, lighting systems, and electrical fixtures. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using hand tools and power tools. Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Follow safety procedures and local electrical codes. Participate in on-the-job and classroom training as part of apprenticeship. Document work completed and materials used. Attend site visits when required to carry out site reports/fault finding and warranty repairs (may include overnight stays). Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead electrician.

Experience

GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science - Grade 4/C or above (required). Enrolled in or willingness to enroll in a registered electrical apprenticeship program. Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools (preferred but not required). Strong interest in electrical work and learning the trade. Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces or at heights. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision. Reliable, punctual, with strong commitment to safety. Valid driver's license

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 38.75 per week
