We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical, Automation and Instrumentation Site Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom, Wrexham.


How the ideal candidate would look like?




Technical University - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical / Automation Engineering or equivalent (Control and Computer Control Systems, Mechatronic Engineering) Open to relocating to different parts of the United Kingdom for varying durations to accommodate project needs (mostly NW UK) Relevant experience in developing and commissioning process control applications: 3+ years. Demonstrated expertise in DCS/PLC architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting. Understanding of the principles of operation, reliability, and performance characteristics of instrumentation, measurements, analyzers, and control valves Experience with process controls equipment including PLCs, DCSs, HMIs, SCADA systems, SQL relational database systems, and Network Hubs including debugging skills as well as Modbus, OPC, Profibus, and Ethernet IP Experience with writing software test plans, user requirement definitions and functional design documents/specifications Advanced level of English is a must Strong technical communication skills Knowledge of applicable codes related to automation and PLC programming (IEC 61131) Fundamental understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) systems and High Hazard Processes. Knowledge of communications between machine PLCs and database systems (corporate ERP integration platforms, MES/IT systems) Willingness to relocate for project assignments

What are the responsibilities?




Monitoring compliance and ensuring all safety standards are met - requires understanding of design standards for electrical systems, instrumentation, process control and automation platforms, understanding of site safety standards and regulations Monitoring quality of the works performed by contractors and compliance with the national, international and site/client standards Registering, addressing and follow-up on non-conformities and snag items Develops and/or provides input in the creation of checklists for verification of electrical systems, control systems, instrumentation, and automation platform. Construction supervision and contractor management on the project sit Prepare and present frequent reports on site construction works progress, milestones, risks and interfaces with other disciplines Conduct site contractor meetings and document with corresponding minutes of meetings Assist installation contractor resources in solving site related construction issues, requires "hands-on" approach, problem identification and solving skills Multidisciplinary interaction and interface management on the construction site Knowledge of construction "good practices" regarding field electrical and control system installations
