What you'll do:
Supervise teams and individuals delivering a range of electrical installation, and maintenance works of all types of electrical and non-electrical assets to specification.
Deliver works to drawings and instructions and highlight risks and communicate these to those who are responsible for delivery of the projects ensuring projects and works are delivered to specifications to complying with legal regulations to make sure all works are always carried out to current legislation standards.
Process and complete all relevant documentation accurately and clearly, and to return it in good time so that works instructions can be closed, invoices raised and Highway Asset Management system (HAMS) updated
Ensure compliance within teams, that all relevant NHSS8, health, safety and environmental legislation and procedures, taking personal responsibility for own and others Health and safety and welfare.
Be responsible for operating vehicles, plant, tools and equipment ensuring correct use and unnecessary damage, comply with daily routine checks, recording to legal requirements and reporting any damages or defects found.
Support apprentices, work placements and students by providing mentoring and on the job training and guidance to support in their career development.
What we're seeking:
City & Guilds 236 / 2360 or equivalent (NVQ 3- 5), NVQ 3 Diploma in servicing and commissioning in highway electrical systems, 18TH Edition BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
Hold industry recognised qualifications; New Roads and Street Works Act
Knowledge / experience in the use of plant, transport, materials and operations associated with Highway Electrical Installation and maintenance activities.
Able to make decisions and use initiative in relation to problems and changing circumstances without constantly referring to senior staff.
Able to handle a heavy workload and work to deadlines with the minimum of supervision
Full UK driving licence
