Join Ports of Jersey as an Electrical Services Manager, where you'll oversee and manage the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of electrical services across our estate. You'll ensure all installations, maintenance, repairs, and projects meet the highest standards, in line with BS7671 and relevant aviation and maritime regulations. Key Responsibilities

Line Management, development and mentorship to a skilled team of electrical technicians and apprentices. Drive and implement high safety standards in the delivery of Electrical services, acting in accordance with Electrical regulations, SSoW and overarching industry related H&S policies and standards. Advise senior management and colleagues to support operational improvements and informed decision-making, aligned with policy, best practice, and current legislation. Oversee quality standards in the delivery of Electrical services, ensuring PoJ's installations and facilities always remain safe and compliant. Provide high level direction to the Electrical Chargehand focussing on safety, resource allocation and prioritisation. Oversee the best use of staff and physical resources to support the effective management of section facilities and operations. Provide assurance in the delivery of Electrical services to key stakeholders against agreed SLAs. Implement delivery plans for more complex multi-disciplinary works, including delivering through 3rd party suppliers if applicable. Provide support to the Electrical Chargehand through technical advice and support when required. Provide excellent customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally. Monitor costs, time and resource usage ensuring safe, effective and sustainable, customer focussed operations and solutions.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Degree qualification or equivalent gained by practical experience in a relevant specialism (Electrical / Electronic Engineering). Working knowledge of the current edition of BS 7671 In depth knowledge and experience of electrical testing and inspection and verification. At least 10 years post qualification practical experience. Ability to contribute to, and lead the delivery of Electrical strategy. Experience in Project Management and implementation of change projects. Proven people management experience leading small teams in a practical environment. Broad experience of working on a diverse range of electrical/electro-mechanical systems, including control and instrumentation. Desirable - Knowledge and experience of aviation related systems and related infrastructure. Desirable - Knowledge and experience of HV supplies and related infrastructure.
