iPower Ireland Ltd are a dynamic and ambitious company based in the heart of mid-Ulster's engineering hub, operating in the diesel electric power generation sector. We specialise in the design and manufacture of bespoke generating sets, auto-transfer switches, and other associated equipment. We have experienced significant expansion since the company's inception in 2018 and are we are continuing this growth on a solid foundation of high standards, customer focus and flexibility in approach.
:
- Design of 12V and 24V DC control systems for diesel generating sets, ranging from 80kVA - 3MVA
- Design of 230v / 400v AC wiring systems for diesel generating sets and associated equipment
- Creation and management of revision-controlled design drawings and manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOM's)
- Assistance with material procurement and selection for bespoke generator builds.
- Potential to expand into industrial control panel design for mobile equipment, generator site commissioning, generator synchronisation and project engineering of complex projects in the generator and mobile machinery sectors.
- This is an office-based role, with a requirement to attend and work on various sites in the UK and Ireland as and when required by the demands of individual projects.
Desirable Criteria:
- Applicants should have a higher-level qualification in an electrical engineering related discipline. Applications from candidates without a formal engineering qualification will also be considered dependent on experience. Comprehensive training will be provided in all aspects of the job for the right candidate.
- Applicants should possess at least 1 - 2 years industrial experience in a similar role
- Applicants should be familiar with Solidworks Electrical, preferably possessing some practical experience in the software. AutoCAD experience is also desirable. Good computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
- Applicants should be highly familiar with the electrical operation and control of a diesel generator and be familiar with the main mechanical components of same. Experience in generator installation design, generator control panel design and synchronising switchgear design is highly desirable. Experience in on site commissioning, testing and synchronisation of generators is highly desirable.
- Applicants must be industrious, adaptable and be committed to attaining the highest standards of quality in their work. Being able to work effectively on own initiative in a single person working scenario is essential.
- Applicants must possess a high quality of written and oral communication to enable them to deal effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues from the sales & specification, assembly, and financial teams.
