Electrical Design Engineer
Job Description
As an Electrical Design Engineer at Primech Building Services, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of electrical systems for a broad range of projects, including educational, commercial buildings.
Your primary responsibilities will involve creating detailed electrical designs, performing calculations, and developing specifications that meet industry standards and project requirements.
You will collaborate closely with the Design Manager and be expected to deliver high-quality designs that are ready for internal review.
Key tasks include reviewing design contracts, producing MEP designs, monitoring drawing production timelines, and ensuring technical accuracy and consistency.
Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive design documentation and facilitating communication with internal and external project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Your role may also involve conducting site surveys and creating energy modelling assessments and reports as required.
Requirements
A degree in Building Services Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Previous experience in the Building Services industry, particularly in electrical design. Proficient understanding of electrical engineering principles and the technical aspects of design. Experience with design software, such as Revit, and AutoCAD. Strong interest in sustainable design practices and energy efficiency. Familiarity with current Building Regulations and industry standards. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients. A valid UK driving license.
