About Unison:
Scarborough based Unison Ltd is a highly successful manufacturer of CNC tube bending machines and industrial engineering solutions, supplying high end products to a world market, in sectors including Aerospace, Automotive and Marine.
We currently have a vacancy for a Control Systems Designer to further strengthen our electrical team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with good communication skills and at least 5 years' experience in a similar field.
The position can be based at our facility in Hyde or Scarborough. This is a full-time salary-based role. We offer a 39-hour week 7:45am - 4:45pm Monday to Thursday, with an early finish at 1pm Friday.
Responsibilities
Ensure conformance with customer specification.*
Ensure conformance with machinery directive legislation.*
Create parts lists (BOM's)*
Create electrical schematics and manufacturing drawing packs.*
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient working methods.*
Provide commissioning and fault-finding guidance to service teams.*
Provide remote customer support.*
Qualifications / Experience
Minimum level 3 qualification in related discipline or HNC. At least 3 years' experience in a similar role. 3 phase power circuits. 24Vdc control circuits. Machine safety systems. Servo motion & PLC programming experience would be an advantage.
