This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to solidify a long term career within a well-established renewable energy company. You will be an important part of our ever growing dynamic energy solutions technical team. We are a market-leading company that specialises in the design, installation and commissioning of commercial solar PV, EV charging and battery storage projects. We are looking to expand our existing team to facilitate the delivery of future projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing designs, and using industry-leading software for commercial solar carports, rooftop, and ground mounted solar PV, electric vehicle charging and battery backup projects. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most interesting PV projects in the UK and use your problem solving skills.

The ideal candidate will be a time served Electrical Engineer with industry experience and an interest for renewable energy designs and solutions.

The Electrical Designer/Engineer will:

Work closely with the Head of Design to deliver the development of cost-effective design and engineering solutions and deliver complete design packages for project proposals. Production of technical specifications, and drawings using AutoCAD Leading technical relationships with sub-contractors, funders and Distribution Network Operators To ensure full compliance with quality and H&S systems Operate within the company's Construction Design Management procedures Support procurement with timely selection and specification of components. Provide electrical designs, bills of material, design risk assessment, commissioning plans etc. Site surveys and visits as required.

Knowledge & Experience required:

Proven track record in Electrical Engineering, preferably in renewables, embedded generation, oil & gas, or similar industrial settings Ability to work as part of a team and independently on your own problem solving and analytical skills IT skills, including computer-aided design software excellent attention to detail

The successful candidate should possess the following:

Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar (HND or equivalent). BEng in Electrical Engineering (desirable) Broad IT competence including AutoCAD, Trimble, Etap, Homer etc.

Pay: Up to 55,000.00 per year
