A leading UK-based engineering and manufacturing business is expanding and looking for an experienced

Electrical Design Engineer

to join its highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems, control panels, and assemblies from concept to completion.

Produce detailed CAD schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.

Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical documentation, and test specifications.

Provide technical support to production and service teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Ensure designs meet relevant safety, compliance, and quality standards (e.g. CE/UKCA marking).

Contribute to the creation of product manuals and technical documentation.

Work collaboratively across mechanical, electronic, and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient and high-quality product delivery.

Essential Skills & Experience

HND or degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).

Minimum 5 years' experience in an electrical design engineering role.

Strong CAD skills for creating schematics and layouts.

Solid understanding of control systems, sensors, instrumentation, and control panel design.

Knowledge of UK, EU, and US electrical safety regulations.

Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Desirable Skills

Experience with product development and prototyping.

Familiarity with SAP Business One or similar ERP systems.

Understanding of motors, drives, PLCs, data acquisition systems, and analogue electronics.

Knowledge of global electrical systems and standards

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
